If you have ever been interested in unlocking the mysteries of Oriental dance, this course is for you. This comprehensive series includes classes on taqsim, veil, drum solo and Oriental choreography. Each of the first three classes will feature technique, then short combinations. All of those moves will be put together in a choreography to a classic Egyptian song for the last class. History, culture, rhythms, stylistic differences, music choices and props will be discussed each week. Some hand-outs will be given as well. Registration is through CCAE only.
